Take the time to finalise your day just the way you want them, with exclusive access 2 days to your wedding venue on our farm beforehand to give you the time to add those finishes touches to your wedding day.
Ceremonies
Your ceremony, your way – indoors or out. With just a handful of close family and friends or many, many more. The Sussex Barn is an ideal DIY wedding venue in Sussex as it has three separate areas to hold your ceremony, whether it be indoors in The Sussex Barn or outside in front of the flint wall with the countryside as your backdrop or perhaps in our cart shed for that intimate, beautiful space. All can be styled in your own way to make the perfect backdrop to say your ‘I Do’s!’
All three spaces are fully licensed and approved by East Sussex Registrars but we are very happy to host celebrant lead wedding ceremonies too.
Receptions
The Sussex Barn we are always happy to welcome couples that our looking for a barn wedding reception. We are situated in the parish of Hellingly with the beautiful St Peter and St Pauls Church less than a mile away.
Wedding breakfast
Our inhouse caterers Kendale Catering Company come highly recommended by ourselves, our previous couples, their families and friends. Ricci and his team will work to your budget, your ideas whether it be a big bbq sharing platter for everyone to dive into, a full vegan menu or a more traditional set menu. You will be invited to a tasting session where Ricci will prepare for you a feast of different flavours based on your ideas and from there the final decision lies with you!
On to the evening food, again Ricci can work and be guided by you, perhaps a traditional hog roast, some traditional wood fired pizzas or maybe even a choice of local cheese, chutneys and breads! The options are limitless.
To toast
As part of our DIY wedding venue in Sussex we offer a completely flexible approach to your bar service, your very welcome to supply your own, Ricci can provide you with glass wear, fruit for that all important glass of pimms and members of his team to serve it for you. You can continue this all day and into the evening, alternatively Ricci and his team can provide you with a fully stocked bar. They will work to your ideas, whether it be celebration cocktails,or take advantage of all out local vineyards and bring in some local ales, wines and spirits. We don’t charge corkage on any of your own supplied drinks. Contact us for more information.
